My First Fashion Show: Passport for Fashion

Hey lovelies,

This past weekend I got the opportunity to attend my very first fashion show. It couldn’t have been a better one to attend, since it featured a high diversity of designers, vendors and even models of all shapes and sizes.

I went with my friend Devon who loves fashion just as much as I do and he makes me laugh non-stop, which isn’t always a good thing:)))

I really enjoyed walking around the trade show filled with interesting vendors like jewelry designers, decorators and of course yummy food! It was also nice meeting Shayla who volunteered for the event and is a fashion blogger as well. Check out her blog here!IMG_4128

My favorite designer of the night was Alta~Cation. I thought they did a fantastic job creating jaw-dropping couture using just recycled materials!IMG_4175
And lastly the goodie bag!:D

Outfit Post: Coral Crème Brulee

Hey everyone

I’ve been really enjoying wearing colorful blazers lately. We all know that frustrating feeling of staring at the closet for 10 minutes in the morning trying to come up with something decent to wear to school. Well I find building an outfit around a blazer quite quick and suitable for most occasions, since you can dress it up or down.

DIY Sketchbook Cover

Hey everyone,

I had so much fun revamping my sketchbook cover today! Even if you don’t sketch you can give some personality to your notebook or daily planner by creating your own cover. I wanted to design something simple and clean with a touch of eco-chic. I have to make one of these at least once a quarter, since I’m required to upkeep a sketchbook for most of my classes, so I might as well have fun with it. Here is what I came up with!

For the cover I broke down a World’s Market paper bag and taped it around the sketchbook.

Every time I have a cup of coffee I just feel like I’m sipping on creative juice. I LOVE coffee, so I wanted to put a cup on the cover. For the font I got my inspiration from the Architect’s Sketchbook book.

I hope this inspires you to revamp your sketchbook or notebook! Don’t forget to share your ideas on my Facebook!

Back To Neutrals & Pales {$150 Giveaway}

Hey loves,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m excited to get Outback Steak later tonight to celebrate finishing a strong quarter. It’s kind of bitter sweet, since I start school again tomorrow, but anytime good food is involved, I’m in!

I love combining light weight chiffon pieces with heavier knit sweaters.IMG_3834IMG_3837

Casual Night at the Lake

 Hey friends,

I hope you are having a great week so far! Yesterday Daniel and I got a chance to spend a fun evening at our friend’s lake house in Lake Norman. We came over to help out with the makeup for their scary short film project. I have never done special effects makeup, so it was quite an interesting experience.
Here are a few shots of my casual and relaxed outfit of the day.
